Once the CDCP is fully implemented, it will provide support to approximately nine million uninsured Canadians with a family income of less than $90,000 per year, helping them overcome financial barriers to accessing dental treatment.
Feel free to keep scrolling to explore the basics and specifics of the Canada Dental Care Plan 2024. In this discussion, we cover everything from eligibility criteria to the application process and other pertinent details.
Understanding Canada Dental Care Plan 2024
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) offers dental care services to eligible individuals as part of a healthcare program. Primarily, the plan aims to provide coverage for essential dental care, particularly for those who lack access to private dental insurance.
The details of these programs may vary depending on the province or territory, as healthcare management is typically the responsibility of provincial governments in Canada.
Beginning July 1, 2023, the second application period for the Canada Dental Care Plan will extend until June 30, 2024. This initiative aims to make the entire CDCP accessible to as many as 8 million uninsured Canadians, encompassing the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
